Fridge Gap Co. makes stackable stainless steel refrigerator trim kits that fill the unfinished gap between the top of a refrigerator and upper cabinets while letting heat dissipate naturally. Our core product is the Refrigerator Gap Vent Cover: a buildable design with five vented trim pieces per kit, each approximately 1 inch tall, made for standard 30, 33, and 36-inch cabinet openings, with DIY-friendly installation.

What Problem Does It Solve?

Freestanding refrigerators leave an awkward empty gap beneath upper cabinets that collects dust and looks unfinished. A custom refrigerator trim kit can cost hundreds of dollars, and solid trim can block the airflow your appliance needs. The vented $89 cover solves both problems — it finishes the gap and preserves ventilation.

We built Fridge Gap Co. after years of frustration with builder-grade kitchen finishes and overpriced trim solutions. Our team has backgrounds in product design, home improvement, and manufacturing. We saw a common problem that nearly every homeowner faces — an ugly gap above the fridge — but no one had solved it well. The existing options were either flimsy plastic fillers, expensive custom cabinetry, or DIY hacks that looked exactly like DIY hacks. So we set out to create something better.

Why Does the Product Exist?

We wanted to bridge the gap between expensive custom remodeling and an unfinished freestanding setup. A vented gap cover gives a refrigerator a built-in look without carpentry — making a finished kitchen accessible to homeowners and renters alike, with no permanent alterations. The product is patent pending.

The cover is made of stainless steel, available in standard 30, 33, and 36-inch cabinet opening widths. It is backed by a 1-year warranty and can be returned within 30 days.
